P#!@ on Swiss
In an almost surprising move from the good folks who loved Nazi gold, the Swiss have recently banned minarets. In need of a chimney the obvious choice of designs has been determined to be.... a minaret.
The initial frame is made of welded rebar - in case anyone is wondering I'm using the cheaters welder - also known as the spool-fed flux core wire welder - this MIG at Harbor Freight is very similar.... Almost any moron is capable of welding with this, it's the hot glue gun of welding... Add an auto-darkening helmet to the mix and your grandmother is a welder...
Once that got taken care of it was time to start putting sheet metal on. Initially I got some metal from craigslist... however as Nathan Ivey predicted it was off to Coiner's scrap yard to finish the job.... hell, they did call him a genius.... $15 scored eight ~3'x3' sheets of 16 guage steel sheets. Add a few self tapping screws and viola... it's starting to look like a chimney...

Now remains to cover the entire structure in cans derived from coffee, soup, juice etc.... fittingly the first can on top came from a coffee can bought at the Arab Market down on Main St - Salaam Alaikhum fellas :)
and as the Swiss insist something or another one wonders.... what in the fuck are they talking about? as soon as someone provides me with a mathematical definition of a minaret it is game on... admittedly mine is a hair lopsided, then again those guys didn't have welded rebar to work with..... trust me on this, it's genuinely incredible - coming from the world of wood to experience welding.... plumb, square, flush, and level are all words holy to the carpenter.... to the welder working on home and small commercial level work, they are words written in some fargone farsical esperanto slang....
Anyone with some extra screws or cans is welcome to participate in this Piss on Swiss ongoing party event, comment for details....

Seems a pretty good idea and I think that Swiss has taken a decision which fueling a propoganda of anti-islam in the Eruope countries.
